What?! No Wednesday Special?

Guess not! But that doesn't mean Wednesday itself isn't special!

I'm going to make it special by telling you a little about myself...

I went to my first Longaberger party in April of 1999. I saw a lot of awesome products and a lot of dollar signs. I decided that I could best help my friend (the hostess) by signing up to host my own party. Which I did in May - I wanted the Daisy Basket in the worst way! I invited my friends and my previous hostesses friends and had a $500 show. Got lots of free stuff and the ever important Daisy Basket! (It's still my favorite.)

I attended a few more parties after that and ordered a few more things. In October, my consultant called me and said that the company had a new business kit, it was about half the price of the original kit...would I be interested in signing up? Um, sure! So, I signed my contract, booked my first 6 shows and off I went. I did parties for my friends and my parents friends and friends of friends and even a few complete strangers. It was fun! AND I made a little money. The first thing I bought with "my" money was a TV and VCR for our bedroom; and I've still got 'em!

So, that was over 10 years ago. What have I done since then? Well, I had a baby, quit my full time job, moved to PA, had another baby, managed to survive infant and toddler-hood and am now in the stage of life where my "babies" are in school all day. I know - where did the time go?! All along the way, I've had my "business", which had kind of dwindled down to, "Hey, Mom, whatcha want this month?" But, never-the-less, I'm still here!

After the BEE this year, I decided that since I was going to have "so much time" on my hands with both kids being in school, I really wanted to treat my business like a business. So, I'm joining local business associations, looking into Craft Fairs, telling all my friends about what I have to offer. And I'm still having fun!

Right now, Longaberger is offering YOU the opportunity to try out being a consultant. And it costs you NOTHING. Not a PENNY! Sign a contract and off you go. You get a free website to promote yourself, too. What have you got to lose? Right, NOTHING! Check it out - it's the only business that you can take with you, that you can set on the back burner and come back to anytime, that is available on YOUR time and where you can work in your pajamas!

What do you think? Ready to try?
