Did You Know?

We all know that our baskets are hand-made (right here in the USA), right? The basketmaker signs the bottom (or sometimes the inside) with their initials. But do you know how to tell if your basketmaker was left-handed or right?! I'll tell you how. Grab a basket. Now. Go ahead, I'll wait. Got it? Ok, now hold the basket so that the top edge trim strip is facing the ceiling. Is it on the left or on the right? That's how you know if your basketmaker was left-handed or right! If the trim ends on the left side, it was made by a lefty. And those are pretty rare!!
