Hostess with the Mostess

So, last Saturday, I was supposed to be in Buffalo and do a Home Show for my Mother-in-Law. Unfortunately, on my way up on Friday, my van decided to go all wonky and die on the side of the road. Ugh. I ended up being towed back home and not getting to Buffalo at all. Turned out to be not such a bad thing! My MIL held her show anyway and had three guests, plus her mother, attend. They enjoyed yummy food (not as yummy as it would have been if I had been there with my TLC Pantry Items, but still good to eat!) and good company. My MIL did a quick presentation about the new products (she has lots of them!) and then the guests made their order lists. She called me and I spoke with each guest as I entered their orders online right there. With two more outside orders, she pulled together a $600 show, netting herself 2 half-price items and $80 in free product - plus free shipping and handling. She paid only $60 for her $210 worth of products!! It PAYS to be a Hostess - even when your Consultant can't be there ;-)
